FRYDENT

Straight teeth gently & invisibly

Teeth correction with transparent aligners — no metal, no wires, no compromises.

What are aligners?

The invisible alternative to traditional braces

Transparent aligners for straight teeth

Aligners are custom-made, transparent plastic trays that move your teeth step by step into the desired position. Each tray is changed approximately every two weeks. The trays are so thin and transparent that they are barely noticeable in everyday life.

Unlike traditional metal braces, there are no wires or brackets. The trays can simply be removed for eating and brushing your teeth.

Benefits at a glance

Nearly invisible

The transparent trays are barely noticeable in conversation, meetings, and photos.

Removable

Simply remove the trays for eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth.

Comfortable

No metal, no wires — significantly less irritation than fixed braces.

Predictable results

Thanks to digital 3D planning, you can see the goal of your treatment in advance.

Who are aligners suitable for?
Suitable for:
  • Mild to moderate misalignments (crowding, gaps, slight rotations)
  • Adults and teenagers who have completed tooth replacement
  • Patients with high aesthetic expectations
  • People who do not want to wear visible braces professionally or privately
Good to know: For severe jaw misalignments or very complex tooth rotations, traditional braces or a combination of both methods may be the better choice. We discuss this individually with you during the consultation.

Step by step — from consultation to results

1

Consultation

We examine your teeth, discuss your wishes, and check whether aligner treatment is suitable for you. This also includes checking for cavities or gum problems — these may need to be treated beforehand.

2

Impressions & planning

We take precise impressions of your teeth. A digital 3D model is created in the lab, showing the entire tooth movement to the goal. You can see in advance what your teeth will look like after treatment.

3

Treatment plan & cost estimate

You receive a transparent cost plan with all details: duration, number of trays, costs. Only when you agree do we start manufacturing the trays.

4

Your trays arrive

You receive your first series of trays, which you wear one after another. Each tray is worn for about 14 days, then the next one follows. The trays are numbered — an easy switch.

5

Regular check-ups

Every 4–8 weeks, you come for a short check-up at our practice. We check progress and give you new trays. Check-ups are much less frequent than with fixed braces.

6

Fine-tuning (Refinement)

After the main treatment, additional fine corrections may be necessary. Additional trays may be made to perfect the result.

7

Stabilization (Retention)

To keep your teeth in their new position, you wear a retainer afterward — a thin, invisible wire behind the front teeth or a night tray. Without retention, teeth can shift back.

How long does treatment take?

The duration depends on the complexity of your misalignment. Minor corrections can be completed in 3–4 months, moderate cases take 6–12 months, more complex treatments up to 18 months. After the initial examination, we will give you an individual estimate.

Important: Before starting aligner therapy, your teeth and gums must be healthy. Cavities, periodontitis, or other problems are treated beforehand — this ensures the success of the correction.
Living with aligners

What you need to know in daily life

The golden rule: 22 hours a day

For treatment to be successful, the trays must be worn for at least 22 hours daily. This sounds like a lot, but it is easier than you think: you only remove the trays for eating and brushing — the rest of the day and at night you wear them.

If you wear the trays too little, treatment takes longer and the result may be compromised.

Eating & drinking
  • Remove trays before eating — there are no dietary restrictions
  • Drinking water is possible with trays at any time
  • Coffee, tea, juices: remove trays beforehand, as they may become discolored
  • After eating: brush teeth, rinse trays, and put them back in
Caring for your trays

Care is simple: morning and evening, rinse the trays under lukewarm water and gently clean with a soft toothbrush. Do not use toothpaste — the abrasive particles can roughen the surface and lead to discoloration. Plain water and mild soap are perfectly sufficient.

The first days with new trays

When you put in a new tray, you may notice a slight feeling of pressure in the first 1–2 days. This is completely normal — it shows that your teeth are moving. This feeling passes quickly. Some patients also notice a slight change in speech, which resolves within a few days.

Tip: Wear new trays for the first time in the evening — you will get used to the slight pressure overnight, and by the next morning the feeling is already much better.
What to avoid

To keep your trays intact and treatment running smoothly:

  • Do not clean trays with hot water (risk of deformation)
  • Do not eat or chew gum with trays in
  • Avoid smoking with trays — it causes strong discoloration
  • Do not use toothpaste for cleaning trays
Costs & Financing

Transparency is important to us — no hidden costs

Treatment costs
from approx. 2,000 – 5,000 €
Depending on complexity · including all trays and check-ups
What do the costs depend on?

The exact costs depend on the complexity of your misalignment, the treatment duration, and the number of trays needed. A minor front tooth correction costs significantly less than comprehensive full-jaw treatment. After the initial examination, you will receive a transparent, binding cost estimate — with no hidden fees.

Convenient installment payments available

A beautiful smile should not be a question of budget. We offer flexible installment payments so you can pay for treatment in convenient monthly installments. Just ask us — together we will find a solution that fits your budget.

What does health insurance cover?

Statutory health insurance in Germany generally does not cover aligner treatment for adults, as it is usually classified as cosmetic. With private insurance, partial coverage may be possible depending on the plan. If you have supplementary dental insurance, check before starting treatment whether orthodontic services are included.

Our tip: Schedule a non-binding consultation. The initial examination gives you clarity about treatment options and costs — before you decide.
What is included in the price?
  • Detailed consultation and examination
  • Impressions and digital 3D treatment planning
  • All required aligner trays
  • Regular check-up appointments throughout the entire treatment
  • Retainer or retention tray for stabilization after completion
Frequently asked questions

The most important answers at a glance

Does the treatment hurt?
No. In the first 1–2 days after switching to a new tray, you may feel slight pressure — this shows your teeth are gently moving. Most patients find this barely bothersome. Pain in the true sense does not occur.
Can you see the trays?
The trays are made of transparent plastic and are barely visible in everyday life. At normal conversation distance, most people will not even notice you are wearing aligners.
Can I eat and drink normally?
Yes — there are no dietary restrictions. You remove the trays before eating and put them back after brushing. Only water can be drunk with trays at any time. Colored drinks like coffee or tea should be consumed without trays.
Do aligners affect speech?
In the first few days, a slight lisp may occur. This usually resolves within a few days as your tongue quickly adjusts to the trays.
How often do I need to visit the dentist?
Much less frequently than with fixed braces. Typically, you come every 4–8 weeks for a short check-up. Between appointments, you switch trays independently according to our plan.
Am I too old for teeth correction?
No. Teeth correction with aligners is possible at any age — provided your teeth and gums are healthy. Many of our aligner patients are between 25 and 60 years old. It is never too late for a beautiful smile.
Can I remove the trays for important occasions?
For short periods (e.g., photos, an important meeting), you can temporarily remove the trays. However, make sure you still reach 22 hours of wearing time per day. Regular removal for longer periods delays treatment.
What happens if I lose a tray or it breaks?
Contact us as soon as possible. In most cases, you can temporarily wear the previous or next tray until a replacement is made. Therefore, keep used trays as a precaution.
Does my health insurance pay for treatment?
Statutory health insurance generally does not cover aligner costs for adults. Some private health insurances or supplementary dental insurances may contribute under certain conditions. We are happy to advise you and prepare a cost estimate that you can submit to your insurance.
Is installment payment available?
Yes! We offer flexible installment payments. In a personal conversation, we will find a monthly rate that fits your budget. This way you can finance your treatment comfortably — without a large one-time payment.
Do teeth shift back after treatment?
Without stabilization, teeth can indeed move back to their old position. That is why the retention phase after treatment is important: a thin retainer wire is invisibly attached behind the front teeth and/or a night tray is worn. The costs for this are already included in our treatment package.
